Dodge County Unemployment Sees Little Change In December

(Dodge County) Regional jobless claims saw marginal changes in the 12th month of 2024. The state Department of Workforce Development says the unemployment rate in Dodge County was 2.4-percent in December, a one-tenth of a percent decrease from November.  

Last year, the number was also 2.4-percent. Dodge County also jumped eight spots in the statewide unemployment ranking to 7th. 

Fond du Lac Countyโ€™s month-to-month change was exactly the same as Dodge Countyโ€™s. Last year, the rate was 2.4-percent.  

Columbia County jobless numbers went from 2.2-percent in November to 2.5-percent in December. A year ago, the figure was 2.4-percent.  

Jefferson Countyโ€™s unemployment rate also saw a three-tenths of a percent drop in December, going to 2.6-percent. That is the same number the county saw last year.  

Statewide, the unemployment rate was three-percent.
