Dodge County Sheriff Named Sheriff’s Association President

(Juneau) Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt is set to be the new president of the Badger State Sheriff’s Association. The association oversees the sheriffs in all 72 Wisconsin counties. Schmidt says he is honored.
“It really is an honor to represent all 72 sheriff’s offices in the state of Wisconsin as their president,” says Schmidt. “A lot of work ahead of us, a lot of things that we’re doing.”
One of those things is mental health. Schmidt says it is very important issue, especially in his profession.
“That’s a real issue that we have to face in law enforcement,” says Schmidt. “And that’s really a highlight of what I wanna do over the next couple of years. Working to provide guidance, provide an outlet for sheriffs.”
Dale Schmidt’s term as the Badger State Sheriff’s Association president began on January 1, 2023.
