Dodge County Residents Encouraged To Donate Blood

12/24/17 – Dodge County residents are encouraged to donate blood during January’s National Blood Donation Month. Officials with the BloodCenter of Wisconsin say there is often a decline in blood donations during winter, while the critical need for blood remains. They say all blood types are needed but there is a special need for O negative blood, which is the universal blood type given to people in emergency situations. Anyone age 17 or older who is in good health and meets the eligibility requirements is welcomed. Those aged under 16 must have parental consent. The blood drive will be held January 4 from 1pm to 6pm at St. Katharine Drexel Parish located at 408 South Spring Street in Beaver Dam. Appointments are preferred but those interested can walk-in.
