(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,643 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update. There are 40,378 active cases in the state, a decrease of 1,048 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 9-percent of the 448-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 403-thousand recoveries.
The state reported 59 deaths bringing that total to 4,255. Deaths account for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 308-thousand people have died in the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 95 deaths and 9,823 cases, a one-day increase of 39 cases. The county had 74 negative tests returned for a running total of 35,579. County health officials are actively monitoring 665 people.
Washington County has seen 89 deaths along with 10,687 cases to date, with 1,426 active cases.
Fond du Lac County reported one additional death yesterday for a total of 60 with 9,787 positive tests on record; 878 are active cases.
The state says Jefferson County has seen 48 deaths and 6,137 cases to date; with 555 active cases.
Columbia County has experienced 24 deaths, an increase of one from Wednesday, and 3,951 positive tests; currently the county has 346 active cases.
Green Lake County has reported 10 deaths with 1,313 cases on record, with 109 cases reported in the last two weeks.
