Dodge County Home Sales Dips In First Month Of 2023

(Dodge County) Dodge County home sales dipped in the first month of 2023 when compared to last year.

According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association there were 50 homes sold in January down from the 91 sold in 2022, a decrease of 45-percent. The average medium price jumped over 14-percent to $225-thousand-dollars. It was $192-thousand-dollars a year ago.

Columbia County saw a drop too in their numbers, going from 35 sold in 2022 to 29 this year, a decrease of 17-percent. The medium price jumped 26-percent year-over-year from $244-thousand-dollars to $309-thousand.

There were 57 homes sold in January of 2023 in Fond du Lac County, down from the 78 bought last year, a decrease of nearly 27-percent. The medium price went from $166-thousand-dollars in 2022 to $210-thousand this year, a jump of 26-percent.

In Jefferson County, 34 homes were purchased compared to 65 in the first month of 2022, a drop of 47-percent. Medium home prices increased 19-percent from $230-thousand-dollars to $275-thousand this January.

Statewide, home sales decreased from 4,702 in January of 2023 to 3,114, a decline of 33-percent.
