(Dodge County) Dodge County health officials confirmed an additional COVID death Monday. That brings the total death count to 280 with 245 confirmed with 35 probable deaths.
Health officials recorded 185 new cases since Friday with eight hospitalizations. Active community cases stand at 399, a weekend decrease of 32.
The seven-day daily average of new cases per one-hundred-thousand people has spiked drastically in recent days. Monday it was 136.3, Friday 109.9, and last Thursday it was 91.5. Twenty-five cases and above is what health officials classify as the “tipping point.”
Dodge County remains in the very high COVID activity level, according to the state health department. So far, 51.1-percent of county residents have had at least one dose of the vaccine while 48.2-percent have completed the vaccination series.
