***UPDATE*** Anthony Johnson has turned himself in at the Dodge County Jail. He is no longer wanted by the sheriff’s office, which thanks everyone who assisted in attempting to locate him.
(JUNEAU) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating an inmate who failed to return to jail after leaving for work under Huber privileges.
According to a press release, Anthony J, Johnson, 30, left the Dodge County Jail around 7:04 a.m. Saturday to go to work in Oakfield.
Officials say Johnson did report to work, but later left the job site in the afternoon and did not return to jail as scheduled. He was due back at the facility by 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators say Johnson may be driving a blue 2002 Chevy trailblazer with Wisconsin license plate ASD-9787.
Authorities say the vehicle was last detected by a license plate reader in Fond Du Lac around 3:55 p.m. Saturday.
Johnson was last seen wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and brown boots when he left the jail Saturday morning. Deputies say he has ties to both Mayville and the Fond Du Lac area.
