A pair of Wayland Academy student-athletes recently represented the Big Red at the Wisconsin High School Powerlifting Association State Meet.
Senior Ella Kikkert placed third in her weight class, delivering strong performances in the squat, bench press and deadlift. The state appearance marks her third consecutive trip to the meet.
Junior Albert Kim also competed at the state level, earning a top-15 finish in his weight class.
The meet was held March 6–8 at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton.
