(Beaver Dam) A longtime member of the Dodge County Concert Association is retiring. Rodney Binder has served as the Association’s president for over 20 years.
As president, he partnered with concert series contracting agency to bring an array of talented artists to the Association for selection. Along with the Association’s Board, Binder choose the artists for each season’s performances and have scheduled over 100 concerts during his presidency.
Officials with the Dodge County Concert Association say Binder carefully planned the agendas and monthly meetings to efficiently run each concert season from venue selection to season ticket sales. Originally the Concert Association offered three concerts per season which expanded to four; and under Binder’s tenure, five concerts are now offered each season.
The Dodge County Concert Association is one of the oldest entertainment venues in Beaver Dam, serving the community for close to 80 years.
