(Juneau) Dodge County Clerk Karen Gibson is encouraging citizens to check their voter status ahead of the April 2nd election.
“I am trying to encourage citizens to get themselves registered to vote and get their names on that poll book so everything is ready to go on election day,” says Gibson.
Gibson says voters who have a current updated driver’s license can register online using the myvote website. If the driver’s license is not up to date a form can be printed from the site and mailed to your local municipal clerk’s office with proof of residence.
The deadline to register using myvote or by mail ends on March 13th. Those interested in applying for an absentee ballot through the mail must do so by March 28th. Gibson adds that voters wishing to vote in person absentee cannot do so prior to March 19th and should contact their local municipal clerk to determine exact dates and times.
