Dodge County Board To Vote On Next Emergency Management Director

(Juneau) The Dodge County Board will soon vote on the next emergency management director. During this week’s Executive Committee meeting, County Administrator Cameron Clapper announced that he was appointing current interim Director Joe Meagher to the department’s top post. The committee authorized a resolution in support of the recommendation which was advanced to the full county board.

Meagher had been director before. In 2014 he swapped titles with then Amy Haase who took on the director role. She left in December to take the communications and emergency management director position with Fond du Lac County. Dodge County Board Chairman Dave Frohling says Meagher is the right man for the job.

“We’re excited to have him back as our director…I was part of the interview panel and he was far and away our excellent choice,” says Frohling.

The matter will be voted on during the county board’s February meeting on Monday the 20th. The board typically meets on the third Tuesday but is being pushed up a day due to the primary election.
