(BEAVER DAM) Two local law enforcement agencies are facing off this weekend to raise money for a girl battling cancer. The Beaver Dam Police Department versus the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Charity Softball Game is Saturday.
Beaver Dam Police Lieutenant Jeremiah Johnson shares more about this year’s beneficiary.
“This year we have Brynlee Giese…she’s a five-year-old girl from Mayville loving school…unfortunately she was diagnosed with High Risk Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia,” says Johnson. “She’s receiving treatment for it at Children’s Hospital. We wanted to make sure that her parents can be by her side and they have a little financial support as well.”
Johnson says there will also be raffles, mid-inning-games, and a pie-in-face contest between Beaver Dam Schools Superintendent Mark DiStefano and Dodge County District Attorney Andrea Will. The charity softball game will be at the Beaver Dam Athletic Field. Festivities begin at 11am.
