(Madison) Alliant Energy and its charitable foundation, along with their employees and retirees, collectively contributed nearly $3.9 million and over 80,000 volunteer hours to various causes and nonprofits in 2024.
Highlights include $55,000 in safety grants covering 37 communities for many first response organizations including police and fire departments as they received new or updated vital equipment.
Alliant Energy reached the halfway milestone in its goal to plant one million trees by the end of 2030. Since 2021, the company has helped plant over 551,000 trees in Iowa and Wisconsin.
The company also worked to create accessible paths for students through a variety of scholarship opportunities. Over 100 students received scholarships with contributions totaling $103,000 to offset tuition costs and student loans.
