(Columbus) The Columbus City Council approved the Department of Public Works request to purchase a tilt deck trailer from Mid-State Equipment at a recent meeting. The cost of the trailer is $15,445 dollars, and it will haul the city’s skid steer, tool cat, roller, future mini excavator and replace the current one that is old and undersized.
Quotes from two other dealers, Brooks Tractors Incorporated ($24,450 dollars) and Miller-Bradford and Risberg Incorporated ($16,962 dollars) were also considered. There is $20,000 dollars in the approved 2024 city budget to buy the trailer.
