Columbia County Authorities Seize Large Amount Of Drugs, Cash From Portage Residence

(Portage) Authorities in Columbia County Tuesday said they have arrested two teens and seized a large amount of drugs as well as cash. A May 3rd traffic stop on Highway 16 led to the arrest of 19-year-old Jameson Jones of La Crosse.

Authorities say they observed drug use and signs of drug trafficking in the vehicle which started an investigation. They say evidence showed that the drugs were acquired at a residence in Portage.

A search warrant was executed and law enforcement located over $40-thousand-dollars in cash, over 77-hundred THC vape cartridges, approximately 14 pounds of THC wax, cocaine, drug packaging supplies, and a 9mm handgun with the serial numbers filed down.

The residences sole occupant, 18-year-old Devin Boeder, allegedly jumped off a second story balcony and ran but was quickly apprehended. He is facing numerous drug charges. Sheriffโ€™s officials say they continue to make identifying those trafficking illegal drugs a priority.
