Columbia County Authorities Offer $2,500 Reward In Death Investigation

(Leeds) Columbia County authorities are offering a reward that can lead to an arrest in a death investigation. Keith Wolf of rural Poynette was shot on September 27th when he went to investigate a noise he heard coming from the basement. His wife called 911 around 9:20pm from the Town of Leeds residence. She told investigators that the 35-year-old grabbed a gun before investigating the disturbance and then she found him dead at the bottom of the stairs. Sheriff Roger Brandner says his office is treating the death as a homicide and that evidence continues to be processed, tested and analyzed. The sheriff’s office is still looking for information on an SUV or truck with a topper which had a loud exhaust that was driving on Bradley Road that night between 9pm and 10pm. Brandner says there is a $2,500 reward for any information. He says people should contact Columbia County Crime Stoppers line or to Detective Tim Schultz.
