(Markesan) The City of Markesan will be switching garbage and recycling companies to GFL Environmental beginning next year.
Trash pick-up will switch to every Monday with recycling being bi-weekly starting January 2nd. GFL will be delivering new carts to residents the week of December 18th. There will be a calendar and flyer delivered with the GFL carts. Residents need to put out both current Waste Management garbage and recycling cans on December 28th. They should be left out until Waste Management picks them up.
