(Beaver Dam) A local non-profit has received a large donation to help expand their facility in Beaver Dam. Church Health Services recently got a $325-thousand-dollar check from the Beaver Dam Community Hospitals Foundation for expanding and renovating their building located at 115 North Center Street. The organization provides dental, medical, and mental health services to low-income children and adults living in South Central Wisconsin.
Church Health Services Executive Director Thea O’Conner says their mental health clinic has experienced a 52-percent increase over 2021 and they are struggling to accommodate patients and staff in the current layout of their building. She says this expansion will include a reception and waiting room area and increase their confidential therapy spaces. O’Conner adds that they are blessed to have the support of the BDCH Foundation to kick off the funding for this project.
BDCH Foundation Co-Chair Al Schwab says collaborating with local organizations that share their commitment to improving health and wellness in the communities they serve has been a priority of the Foundation for nearly 40 years. He says this project is a shining example of this dedication.
