Church Health Services Hosting New York-Themed Fundraiser

(Beaver Dam) A local non-profit will be holding a fundraising event this weekend. Tickets are still available at Rechek’s Food Pride and Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly for Church Health Services an ‘Evening in New York City.’

Bev Beal-Loeck says there will be plenty of food options for meat or veggie lovers that fit the New York theme. She says there will be small areas that replicate famous landmarks in New York such as Central Park, Times Square and Chinatown.

Church Health Services Marketing Intern Hannah Leystra says there will be a wide variety of items up for auction like Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks tickets as well as preseason Packer tickets. Other items include tickets to the Shedd Aquarium, certificates to golf clubs around Dodge County, a wine tasting at Captain’s Walk Winery and tickets to see the Beatles Rival Tour in Milwaukee.

During a recent appearance on WBEV’s Community Comment, Church Health Services Executive Director announced said this year’s honorary chairs are Mike and Louis Augustson.

All proceeds go towards Church Health Services in their mission to assist low income, uninsured and underinsured individuals with general health coverage. An ‘Evening in New York’ will be held this Saturday at Old Hickory Golf Course and will begin at 6pm.
