Waupun Couple Charged with Drug Counts, Child Neglect

(WAUPUN) Prosecutors have filed criminal charges against two Waupun residents following a drug investigation that raised concerns about the safety and care of children inside a River Road home.

According to the Waupun Police Department, the Fond du Lac County District Attorneyโ€™s Office charged a Waupun woman in connection with an investigation into drug activity and child neglect at a residence in the 500 block of River Road. The charges include four counts of child neglect, maintaining a drug trafficking place, manufacturing or delivering THC, possession of THC as a repeat offense, two counts of delivering drug paraphernalia to a minor, two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a child.

A Waupun man was also charged as part of the same case. Prosecutors filed three counts of child neglect against him, police said.

The charges stem from an investigation that began in October 2025 after law enforcement received information that controlled substances were being used and stored inside a home where children were present. Additional information suggested the children living in the residence may have been neglected or endangered.

Police executed a search warrant at the home and reported recovering controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Investigators said the evidence provided probable cause to support the child neglect charges. The case was then referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorneyโ€™s Office for charging consideration.

Because the investigation involves juveniles, authorities said no further details will be released at this time.
