(Beaver Dam) A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a collision with a bus in the town of Beaver Dam Wednesday. Dodge County sheriff’s deputies were called to Highway 33 near North Crystal Lake Road around 3:47pm.
The investigation revealed that a 62-year-old man from rural Beaver Dam was traveling east on 33 on a Harley Davidson. A bus, driven by a 54-year-old Beaver Dam man, was heading north on Crystal Lake Road. Authorities say the bus collided with the bike in the intersection.
The operator of the bike was transported to Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam with serious injuries. The driver of the bus was uninjured. Sheriff’s officials say there were no other occupants on the school bus at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
The highway was partially closed for just under 30 minutes to keep the scene safe for those working and investigating.
