Bond Set At $10K Man Charged With Assault Following Domestic Incident

(Waupun) Cash bond was set at $10-thousand-dollars Thursday for a Fall River man charged with assault following a domestic incident last month. Tyrone Bearder is facing felony Third Degree Sexual Assault, Strangulation, False Imprisonment as well as a misdemeanor charge of Battery. A Waupun police officer was dispatched to an apartment to investigate a possible domestic disturbance. The victim reportedly told police that Bearder showed up to ask for money, but she told him she had none to give. According to the criminal complaint, Bearder thew a package of baby wipes at the victim which struck her in the face. He also allegedly threatened to kill the victim and burn down her apartment building. Bearder also reportedly grabbed the victim by the neck and slammed her into a shelving unit. The victim also allegedly reported that she was sexual assaulted by the 21-year-old that evening. If convicted, Bearder faces over 23 years behind bars. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 9th.
