Beverly “ Bev” J. Stange, 86, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
A visitation for Bev will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Eric Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton, Wisconsin.
Beverly Jean was born on February 3, 1938 the daughter of Arnold and Violet (Eichstedt) Steger in Wayne, Wisconsin. Bev was a devoted mother who lovingly raised five children. She was a member of Trinity Church United Methodist.
Bev became a talented artisan mastering the crafts of embroidery, knitting, quilting and rug hooking. She also loved refurbishing and restoring antique furniture. Her meticulous attention to detail and creative spirit were evident in every piece she created, leaving behind beautiful works that will be cherished by family and friends. Bev owned and operated a gift store, Swan Park Crossings that showcased many unique treasures and antiques. Additionally, she dedicated her time to driving the school bus for children for a several years and helped the Beaver Dam Hockey Association establish the Family Center.
Bev is survived by her children: Lisa (Brian) Gilmore of Beaver Dam, Patrice Stange of North Carolina, Stephanie (Jeff) Daugherty of Middleton, Jessica (Andrew) Kohn of Beaver Dam and David (Barb) Stange of Menomonee; 11 grandchildren: Josh, Brandon, Benjamin, Alisya, Jordan, Julia, Sarah, Matthew, Elizabeth, Gabriel and Isaiah; eight great grandchildren; and siblings: Alvin (Nancy) Steger, Arnold Steger, Susie (Gary) Giese and Steve (Rachel) Steger; and sister-in-law Edna Steger. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Kenneth Stange, her brother John Steger, her sister Rosalyn Geschke and great granddaughter Savannah Diane Thomas.
