(Beaver Dam) The principal of Beaver Dam’s Prairie View Elementary was recently recognized. Brandon Krause is a recipient of the Principal Leadership Award. This statewide honor – administered by the Herb Kohl Foundation – recognizes outstanding Wisconsin principals who demonstrate leadership by setting high standards for instruction, achievement, and character.
Krause is one of only 14 principals across the state to receive the award, which includes a $6,000 grant. He says this recognition is not possible without the tireless efforts of their educators at Prairie View in their belief that all students can grow and achieve at high levels.
Award recipients are selected by a statewide committee composed of civic leaders and representatives from educational organizations and the program’s co-sponsors.
These include the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESA), the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators, and the Wisconsin Homeschooling Parents Association.
