(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam FFA plant sale begins Thursday. It starts at 8am at the Beaver Dam High School Greenhouse, located on the north side of the school by the football field. Visitors are encouraged to park by the tennis courts.
FFA Advisor Mackenzie Chitko how the proceeds of the sale are utilized.
“The funding that we gain from the actual sale of the plants goes directly back to the kids,” says Chitko. “Whether we’re taking them to an apple orchard in fall…we took them to a maple syrup farm last year. We let them travel and experience what Wisconsin agriculture has to offer.”
Annuals run $3 and perennials cost $4. The sale is open until 5pm Thursday. Friday, it is open from 8am to 5pm and from 9am to 2pm on Saturday.
