Beaver Dam Winter Parking Restrictions In Effect, Won’t Be Enforced Until Snowfall

(Beaver Dam) Winter parking restrictions went into effect Sunday in Beaver Dam, but enforcement will not begin until there is snow in the forecast. Per city ordinance, beginning November 1st, no parking is allowed on city streets between 2am and 6am so that the Department of Public Works can clear the snow. Citations will be issued for violations and begin at $20 if the ticket is paid within five days. The parking ban will remain in effect until April 1 unless it is announced that the ban has been temporarily or permanently lifted. Mayor Becky Glewen says she hopes city residents use the time between now and the first snowfall to secure a $25 permit for on-street parking. There is a new place to purchase the permits: the Beaver Dam Police Department on weekdays between 7am and 4:30pm.
