(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 3,493 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update. There are 47,551 active cases in the state, a decrease of 657 from Saturday. Active cases make up 20.8-percent of the 228-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 179-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 16 deaths Sunday, bringing that total to 2,047. Deaths accounted for point-nine-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 229-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has 35 deaths on record and 4,746 cases, an increase of 63 from Saturday. The county had 246 negative tests returned for a running total of 29,060.
Washington County has now experienced 44 deaths and 4,887 cases.
Fond du Lac County has 5,111 positive tests on record and 23 deaths.
Jefferson County has reported four more deaths for a total of 19 and 3,016 cases to date.
There have been seven deaths in Columbia County where there have been 1,945 total cases.
Green Lake County has four deaths and has 815 cases on record.
