Beaver Dam Scholarship Foundation Awards $369,000 to 34 Students

(BEAVER DAM) The Beaver Dam Scholarship Foundation Inc. celebrated its 35th annual scholarship awards ceremony May 13 at Old Hickory Golf Club, marking the organization’s 25th anniversary while awarding a total of $369,000 in scholarships to 34 area students.

Of the recipients, 26 students will attend four-year colleges and universities, while eight will pursue technical education programs. The scholarship class also included five students from Central Wisconsin Christian School and one from Wayland Academy.

The evening’s master of ceremonies was Jami Dugan, associate principal at Beaver Dam High School. Featured speaker Katie (Rhodes) Lesperance, a 2006 scholarship recipient and current student relations director at UW-Green Bay, shared remarks with students and families.
