11/6/17 – The Beaver Dam Common Council Monday night approved the dedication of land in the downtown Tower Parking Lot as the Beaver Dam Rotary Riverwalk Park. The service organization has been working for years to enhance the stretch along the Beaver Dam River, investing around $50-thousand dollars to date. Plans for the green space in the short term include a walking path, benches and trees. A pavilion is part of the long-term plans. The most recent investment is the installation of outdoor musical equipment. The instruments come courtesy of a $10-thousand-dollar donation from city residents Tom and Judy Heffron. One sign for Beaver Dam Rotary Riverwalk Park is located off Mill Street and the other off Center Street. An official dedication ceremony is planned over the noon hour next Monday.
