(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Recreation Department is offering a pair of free financial wellbeing classes this month.
On September 18th, residents are invited to attend a First-Time Homebuyer Mastery: Navigating the Path to Success class from 6pm to 8:30pm.
On September 25th, residents can attend their Buying Your Home with Confidence class. The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority will be present for this class to explain their assistance programs and benefits for Spanish-Speaking borrowers as well.
Joan Hohenstein says the classes will be led by experts.
“They will both be presented by a panel of financial professionals. So, they will be sharing information about the pre-approval and financing options and how that all works. How to improve your credit score, how to budget for your mortgage.”
Hohenstein says that the classes will also focus on home inspection, negotiating repairs, making the winning offer on a home, and the closing process.
Those interested can enroll for the free course online, or at the Watermark in Beaver Dam, located at 209 South Center Street.
