(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Police Department’s 2024 annual report was recently completed. The document tracks arrests made, citations issued, staff changes, and other important details over the course of the year.
Police Chief John Kreuziger says these reports help guide the department moving forward.
“[It] drives the future…where are we going…where are we heading…where do we have some concerns and issues,” says Kreuziger. “And it involves the numbers that we report monthly to the FBI…to all the municipal citations…the crashes and complaints…that’s all tabulated so I get an idea when we apply for different grants, where we are going to use that money.”
Kreuziger says calls for service last year went up.
“The good part is that crime hasn’t gone up but the calls for service in the city of Beaver Dam went up 2,955…that’s a lot of calls for service,” says Kreuziger. “We have a lot of people that want to talk to us about different complaints…civil issues…family issues…all of those are a part of that. It’s probably why that increase is there.”
