Beaver Dam Library to Reopen May 18

(BEAVER DAM) After years of planning and months of work, renovations to the Beaver Dam Community Library are almost finished. The library is set to reopen on Monday, May 18.

“I can see the finish line, and it looks great,” Library Director Sarah Cournoyer told Daily Dodge. “I’m very excited.”

The library at 311 N. Spring St. was built in 1984. It has been undergoing $2.25 million worth of renovations since September. When doors reopen, patrons can look forward to a new, more convenient entrance off the parking lot, a dedicated technology center with computers and printers, and a new reading room with a fireplace and lounge-style chairs.

Operations at the library’s temporary location at 1701 N. Spring St. will cease at the end of the day on Tuesday, April 14. A moving company is contracted to transport all of the library’s materials back to its permanent location.
