(PORTAGE) The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office has placed a deputy is on administrative leave after a search warrant was served at their home.
The search warrant showed the United States Postal Service uncovered possible drug shipments to a home in Montello.
Columbia County Sheriff Roger Brandner said he was notified of the search warrant by another law enforcement agency on Friday, Feb. 27.
The investigation stemmed from “improper procurement of prescription medication through internet sources.” No one has been arrested.
The Sheriff’s Office said the deputy is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
