Here’s this week’s Beaver Dam Hockey Association youth hockey update for this past weekend….
-10U Squirts traveled to Sparta for a double header and swept the Sparta Titans. They won the 1st game 13-12 with George Stone in net for his 1st win. Scoring his 1st career hat trick was Elliot Olds and Charles Raeder getting his 1st squirt goal. Also scoring for Beaver Dam were Xavier Wagner-Vargas with a hat trick, Jaxson Gottfredsen & Brady Poznanski with 2 goals each, and Isaiah Olds and Tyce Moreau with 1 goal each. Getting assists in the game were Easton Hanni, Xavier Wagner-Vargas, Elliot Olds, Kleyten Hartzheim, Bradyn Poznanski, and Isaiah Olds. The Beaver prevailed in the 2nd game 4-2 with Blake Errthum in net. Scoring goals for the Beavers were Elliot Olds, Tyce Moreau, Isaiah Olds, and Bradyn Poznanski. Getting assists were Xavier Wagner-Vargas & Isaiah Olds. The team heads north to Antigo for the WAHA Squirt 10U 3A State Championships next weekend with a five game win streak going into the tournament.
-10U Wildfire finished second in the Heartbreaker Tournament in West Bend. They beat the ECA stars 4-3, and Shaw 6-3. They fell to the Fox Velley Freeze in the Championship game, 4-1. Scoring for the Wildfire were Macy Damon, Zoe Ruis and Brenna Rhodes. Ameila Johnson was in net all weekend. The girls head to River Falls next weekend to finish their season at the state tournament.
-12U Wildfire took first place at the Heartbreaker Tournament in West Bend. The defense of Mara Endres, Addison Hoekstra, Lydia Schroeder and Addison Mylrea set the tone only allowing 27 shots on goal in 3 games. Goalie Kamryn Albert had 22 saves. Brooke Strachota, Emerson Damon, Addison Hoekstra, Addison Smedema, Lilian Mansueto and Mara Endres all scored goals this weekend as well. Maggie Laatsch, Schroeder, Damon, Mylrea and Mansueto also had assists.
-14U Wildfire tied both of their games against Elmbrook this weekend. They will be taking part in the State Tournament this coming weekend.
-Good luck to the 10U Squirts, 10U Wildfire girls and the 14U Wildfire girls all of which will be playing in the State Tournament this coming weekend.
