Beaver Dam Football Drops Season Opener

The Beaver Dam High School football came up on the short end of their alternate fall season opener to Janesville Parker 27-6 on Saturday night in DeForest.

The Golden Beavers were outgained 241-70 in the first half, including 144 yards on the ground as they fell behind 27-0.  BDHS made some defensive adjustments at the half and held the Vikings to just 21 total yards in the 2nd half.

Senior Wesley Biel carried the ball 24 times for a game high 88 yards and a touchdown.  Alex Soto caught a game high six passes for 62 yards while senior Nate Abel hauled in 4 passes for 33 yards.

Beaver Dam (0-1) will travel back to DeForest next Saturday for a matchup with Monona Grove.  That game kicks off at 6pm, with the JV starting at 3:30pm.  You will be able to watch both games on the DailyDodge.com Videostream presented by Columbus Family Dental and the Beaver Dam Unified School District.

The Beaver Dam JVs were shutout by Janesville Parker 20-0 on Saturday afternoon.
