Beaver Dam Community Library Move Begins

(BEAVER DAM) The Beaver Dam Community Library is on the move this weekend. Saturday, Aug. 2 is the last day to visit the library at its current location. After that, staff, movers, and volunteers will spend the next month or so moving operations several blocks north on North Spring Street. The library will open at its temporary location at the former Bassett Furniture building on Sept. 2.

The temporary location will offer most of the library’s usual services, including free internet, copying and scanning, and the puzzle exchange. If you still have items checked out from the library, you’ll have extra time to return them in most cases. Work on the permanent library building is expected to take six to nine months.
