Beaver Dam City Attorney Returning On A Limited Basis

(Beaver Dam) Longtime Beaver Dam City Attorney Maryann Schact retired at the end of last year but is coming back to do some contract work. The Common Council this week approved a plan to bring Schact back into the fold on a limited basis for consulting services.

The initial resolution indicated that she would be hired for legal services but that was changed in committee. New Attorney Larry Konopacki says the initial idea is to have Schacht available at least until the vacant position of city administrator is filled. Schacht would work up to ten hours per month at a cost of $50-per hour.
