Beaver Dam Chamber Selects Recipients Of Annual Recognition

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce has selected the individuals and businesses that will be recognized at their annual dinner.

The Business of the Year is Hometown Glass and Improvement, which has roots in Beaver Dam dating back to 1955.

The Nonprofit of the Year is no stranger to WBEV: Community Care Preschool and Child Care, an agency that has been part of our Children’s Radiothon for several years.

Citizen of the Year is Kraig Kasten, who had worked for the chamber for several years and most recently helped guide the Beaver Dam Area Arts Association to a new location and a new name: the Dodge County Center for the Arts.

New this year, an award for the Citizen Who Has Left A Legacy. That honor goes to Nancy Zieman, who passed away two years ago. Zieman was founder of Nancy’s Notions and host of the long-running public broadcasting television show “Sewing With Nancy.”

All four will be honored at the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner, tentatively scheduled for January 22.
