(Beaver Dam) The New Year’s holiday is delaying the bulk garbage truck that stops in Beaver Dam twice a month. The city’s waste collection provider, Advanced Disposal, provides the truck on the city’s southside near the wastewater treatment plant for disposal of bulk items and excess garbage that will not fit in their cart twice each month. Normal drop off days and times are the first Wednesday of each month from 4pm to 7pm and the third Saturday of each month from 8am to noon. Because the first Wednesday of January 2020 is New Year’s Day, the truck has been rescheduled to come one week later, on Wednesday, January 8th from 4pm to 7pm. The Advanced Disposal truck can be found at the south end of Myrtle Drive. No waste of any kind is accepted by this truck from any contractors or allowed to be brought into the city of Beaver Dam from outside of the city limits.
