BDHS Coach Tim Chase Given $5K Check At Pep Rally

(Dodge County) Beaver Dam High School Girls Basketball Coach Tim Chase was presented with a check for the school for $5000 on Wednesday. Chase made it to the Top 15 in the second round of the nationwide Most Valuable Coach contest sponsored by US Cellular. The top coaches were initially selected based on the positive impacts they have on their players, school and city as well as their leadership qualities. In addition to the donation to the school, Chase was given a brand-new Samsung Note Nine as an early gift in advance of National Coaches Day which is on November 4. Chase currently has 5.8-percent of the voting, good for sixth place. Fans have until noon on Tuesday, November 13 to cast their vote, which is allowed once per day at The winners will be announced on November 20. The top three finalists will receive donations of $10-thousand, $20-thousand and $50-thousand dollars respectively. The first-place coach will also be awarded a Samsung “tech-package” valued at $30-thousand dollars. All of the 15 coaches who made it to the second round are receiving $5000 dollars for their schools. Dodgeland Track and Cross-Country Coach Kevin Klueger is being celebrated today with a pep rally and check presentation. Klueger is currently in 14th place with 3.2-percent of the vote.
