BDHS Athletic Hall Of Fame Class Of 2025

Beaver Dam High School will induct three more former student athletes into the BDHS Athletic Hall of Fame this Homecoming weekend.

BRENNA (CALDER) LEAMER

Brenna (Calder) Leamer was a two-sport athlete at Beaver Dam High School, earning 8 varsity letters in Cross Country and Track & Field. Brenna was also a member of the National Honor Society. In cross country, Brenna earned Wisconsin Little Ten All-Conference 1st Team honors and varsity letters in each of her four years. She qualified for the WIAA Division 1 State Cross Country meet twice in her career, finishing in 9th place as a senior in 2013. Brenna was selected as Team MVP each year and continues to hold the school record for the fastest performance in both the 4000m and 5000m races. Brenna also earned 4 varsity letters in Track & Field, competing in distance events and relays. She earned team MVP honors in each of her four track seasons. Brenna won 7 conference championships during her career and qualified for the WIAA Division 1 State Track & Field meet in 2012 and 2013. During her senior year she recorded the fastest times in the 800M and 1600M runs statewide during the regular season. To date, Brenna continues to hold 5 school records in individual and relay events, and holds 3 conference records, which have retired when the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference disbanded in 2017. After high school, Brenna continued her athletic career at Indiana University. She earned 7 letters for the Hoosiers: 3 in cross country, and 4 in track & field. She earned All-Big Ten honors 4 times in her career, with one 2nd place finish, and three 3rd place finishes at Big Ten Conference Championship meets. Brenna also earned NCAA Division 1 All-American honors twice in her career and an appearance in the 2017 NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championship. To date, Brenna continues to hold two school records, as well seven other Top 10 performances in various individual and relay events. She was also named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team, 3 times for Cross Country and 3 times for Track & Field. Brenna graduated with High Distinction Honors, earning a Baccalaureate degree in Law and Public Policy major and minor in Business. She is currently employed as a Federal Policy and Government Affairs Manager, with the Roche Diagnostics Corporation in Washington DC.

2002-2006 Matt Hein earned 10 varsity letters at Beaver Dam High School while participating in Basketball, Track & Field, Cross Country, and Football. During his senior year, Matt was selected by the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference coaches as the WLT Basketball Player of the Year, and in Track as the WLT Male Track Athlete of the Year. Matt earned 4 varsity letters in basketball, and became one of the rare athletes to have started on the varsity boys basketball team in each of his four years, including his freshman season. Matt was selected to the Wisconsin Little Ten All-Conference team three times in his career, and All-State once. In 2006, he was selected as the WLT Conference MVP, and participated in the WBCA All-Star Game. Matt finished his career as a member of the exclusive “1000 Point Club”, scoring a total of 1269 points in his career. Matt was a versatile athlete in track & field, participating in sprints, relays, and horizontal jump events. Matt was selected Team MVP three times in his career, earned “Track Animal” honors in all 4 years, and was named as a Team Captain. Matt won 11 Wisconsin Little Ten Conference championships in his career, and is a record holder of 2 conference jump events, which have since been retired when the conference disbanded in 2017. In 2006, he was selected as the WLT Conference Male Track MVP. Matt participated in 5 events at the WIAA Division 1 State Track & Field meet across his junior and senior seasons. His best finish was in the Long Jump, as a junior, when he finished in 10th place in Division 1. Matt also played two seasons of Football, earning one varsity letter. He also ran Cross Country for one season, earning a varsity letter, and All-Wisconsin Little Ten Conference honors. After high school, Matt continued his basketball career at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Matt played 3 seasons at Parkside as a NCAA Division II scholarship athlete.

KAITLYN (McINTYRE) RENZI

2007-2011 Kaitlyn (McIntyre) Renzi was a three-sport athlete at Beaver Dam HS, earning 8 varsity letters in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field. In 2011, she was recognized by the WIAA, as well as the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference, as a scholar athlete, and was a finalist for the Wendy’s National Academic High School Heisman Award. Kaitlyn was also selected as the 2011 Beaver Dam High School American Legion Female Senior Athlete of the Year. She was a National Honor Society Member, Key Club Member, and was The Class of 2011 salutatorian. She was named the Exchange Club Wisconsin/Upper Peninsula Youth of the Year in 2011. Kaitlyn excelled in Volleyball, earning 4 varsity letters, and was one of Wisconsin’s top high school players from the Class of 2011. She was selected for the All-Wisconsin Little Ten Conference in each of her four years, earning WLT Conference Player of the Year honors in 2009. Kaitlyn was selected to the All-State team 3 times, and was named to the Academic All-state team, also 3 times in her career. She was selected as Team Captain twice, and Team MVP twice. To date, Kaitlyn continues to hold 4 BDHS records including career kills and career aces. A highly recruited athlete, Kaitlyn earned numerous scholarship offers to play NCAA Division 1 Volleyball from several universities. Kaitlyn also earned 3 letters in Basketball, and 1 letter in Track & Field. She was a key member on two conference championship basketball teams, including the 2010 team which advanced to the WIAA Division 1 State Basketball tournament. Kaitlyn was named to the Wisconsin Little Ten All-Conference basketball team twice and was also selected to play in the 2011 WBCA All-Star basketball game. In Track, Kaitlyn competed in various sprint and field events, earning All-Conference honors in the Triple Jump as a freshman, in her only year of competing in track. After high school, Kaitlyn continued her volleyball career at Central Michigan University, as a full scholarship athlete, where she earned 4 varsity letters throughout her career. As a freshman, she helped CMU win the Mid-American Conference Championship. That team also qualified for the NCAA Division 1 National Tournament- for the first time in CMU history. In the same season, she was named to the Mid-American Conference All-Freshman team and holds the record for most kills by a freshman in CMU program history. Kaitlyn was selected to the Mid-American All-Conference 1st team 3 times (3rd player in CMU history), and to 7 different All-Tournament Teams throughout her career. She was also a 3-time Team MVP and a 3-time Academic All-Conference selection. She is 2nd in career kills in CMU program history. In 2014, Kaitlyn was a member of the USA Collegiate Developmental Team. She was a Lowe’s Senior Class Award Finalist and CMU Scholar Athlete of the Year Finalist in 2014. She is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society Class of 2014. Kaitlyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Central Michigan University in 2015 (Magna cum laude), and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018. Since 2018, Kaitlyn has been employed as a physical therapist at St Joseph Mercy Oakland/Trinity Health Oakland, in Pontiac, Michigan. She got married in 2018, has 3 young sons, and currently resides in Clarkston, Michigan.
