The Beaver Dam High School softball team (20-7) hosts Monona Grove (12-14) tonight in a WIAA Division 1 Regional Final at the BDHS Diamond. The game can be seen on DailyDodge TV and heard on 1430 ESPN Beaver Dam.
The Golden Beavers advanced to the Regional Final with a 13-1 win over East Madison United, while Monona Grove defeated Madison Memorial 13-3.
The two teams split their regular-season meetings. Monona Grove rolled past Beaver Dam 9-1 on April 20 behind pitcher Brooklyn Vanden Branden, who struck out 15 batters. Beaver Dam earned the split with a 6-3 win on May 19 as Kendall Fakes homered in the victory.
Coverage begins tonight at 4:45 p.m., with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
The winner advances to the sectional round next Tuesday to face either Waunakee or Edgewood.
