BD High School Bowlers Compete In Brownsville

The Beaver Dam Bowling teams squared off at Jake’s Village Bowl in Brownsville this past Sunday. 

The Beaver girls were 1-1 on the day, tightening the gap between them and division leader, Watertown. They are now in striking distance at just 1 match behind Watertown. Junior Kamryn Albert led the charge with 17 recordable strikes and just 6 open frames on the day. The girls lost to Mayville match 1 and beat Oakfield 7-2 in match number 2. Albert is sitting in the 3 spot in the girls individual standings. 

The Beaver boys had a nice day and remain undefeated on the season, holding on to the top spot in the district. Match 1 was a tight one against Lakeside Lutheran where the teams tied game 7 at 215 a piece and 3.5 points on the match. The boys won the final 2 games to secure the match point. Match two was a 7-2 domination against Lomira. Senior Garrett Boettcher had 23 recordable strikes on the day with a clean first match. Boettcher sits in the fifth spot in the boys individual standings. Sophomore Charlie Scholz and Junior Braxton Soldner(Dodgeland) added 18 and 20 strikes respectively. 

After a holiday break, the teams will be back at it Sunday January 4th at Watertown Bowl North where they will face off against each other in match number two.
