Around 2,500 fans packed the Beaver Dam High School Fieldhouse on Tuesday night as the National Champion University of Wisconsin women’s volleyball team faced UW-Green Bay in their Spring season opener. The Badgers swept all four sets 25-14, 25-17, 25-23, 25-11. Wisconsin will continue their spring schedule on Saturday night when they host Illinois-Chicago at the UW-Fieldhouse.
Beaver Dam High School Athletic Director Melissa Gehring told DailyDodge.com that the event ran smooth. “Oh I think was awesome. We’ve got people from all over the place. There were also a lot Beaver Dam people (in attendance). Nobody really cared who won or lost. Everybody was just full of positive energy, just having fun and enjoying a great athletic contest.”
