(Theresa) Fond du Lac County officials have identified the man killed in a crash that occurred Thursday morning in the Town of Bryon. The wreck took place at 8:14am on State Highway 175, just north of County Highway Y. 53-year-old Abel Gonzales was traveling southbound when he crossed the centerline and struck a northbound pick-up truck pulling a trailer that was operated by 51-year-old Gary Peters of Theresa. Gonzales, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Peters, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was flown to ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah for treatment of serious injuries. Alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
