Beaver Dam senior Nate Abel set the program’s single season scoring record in Tuesday night’s 70-63 loss to Randolph. Abel now has 546 points this season, which bested 2017 alum Garrett Nelson’s 534 points during the 2015-16 campaign.
The Michigan Tech recruit is also approaching Nelson’s BDHS career scoring mark of 1403 points with two regular season and at least one playoff game left in the season. Abel currently had 1354 career points.
Abel is also has 69 three pointers this year which is three behind the 72 three-pointers hit by Ryan Benish in the 1993-94 season.
