(Beaver Dam) After 43 years of exclusively playing country music, a major change came to WXRO Friday morning. The Beaver Dam-based radio station at 95.3 on the FM dial flipped formats to adult contemporary and has been rebranded as 95X. The format will showcase a multitude of genres, including the best of pop, rock, country and alternative. A few core artists listeners can expect to hear include: Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, Pink, Shawn Mendes, Dan + Shay, Luke Combs and Katy Perry.
WBEV/WXRO General Manager Ryan Gabel says he is excited to see WXRO (quote) “evolve and bring a fresh format to the community…that will attract a wide audience while playing everyone’s favorite artists and today’s best music.”
The WXRO morning show – hosted by Rick Armon, Sheri Sackett and Thomas Rehfeldt – is now the 95X Morning Show and will play more music.
Uncle Bill McCollum will be returning home to WBEV as his legendary Barn Show is moving to AM1430, also streamed at DailyDodge.com.
The Early Morning Farm Show will now air exclusively on WBEV.
Listeners can hear local news throughout the day with quick hitting headlines during the morning show, and any time from DailyDodge.com.
To listen live, tune into 95X on your radio, or stream via DailyDodge.com.
