(OAK GROVE) A Dodge County woman is fighting for her life after a midday crash with a semi at a rural intersection Thursday.
Deputies say the crash happened just before 1 p.m. at County Highway S and Main Street Road in the town of Oak Grove. Investigators believe a southbound sedan pulled into the intersection from a stop sign and was struck by an eastbound tractor-trailer.
The driver of the car, a 46-year-old woman from Beaver Dam, suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to Aurora Summit Hospital by a Flight for Life helicopter. The semi driver was not hurt.
The Dodge County Sheriffโs Office says the car failed to yield the right of way before the collision. The tractor-trailer was hauling a loaded trailer at the time.
Multiple agencies responded, including fire and EMS crews from Horicon and Juneau, Beaver Dam paramedics, Dodge County emergency teams, and Flight for Life.
Authorities are not releasing names while family members are notified. The crash remains under investigation.
