(JUNEAU) A Beaver Dam woman convicted for animal neglect will spend the next year on probation and cannot own animals.
Glennan Yahnke was in court Friday, where she entered a no contest plea and was found guilty of failing to provide proper shelter and sanitation for animals, a misdemeanor. A second charge of intentionally mistreating animals was dismissed but still read into the record.
A judge ordered 12 months of probation and barred her from owning animals during that time.
The charges stem from an investigation last fall at a home on West Mackie Street, where authorities removed dozens of animals living in unsafe and unsanitary conditions. Investigators reported feces, urine and a lack of proper care inside the home.
Glennan Yahnkeโs sentencing follows an earlier ruling in the same case. Brianna Yahnke was sentenced in Dodge County Court after pleading guilty to the same charge of failing to provide proper shelter and sanitation for animals. She also received one year of probation and was prohibited from owning animals during that time.
