WisDOT Seeking Public Comments On Pair Of Dodge County Highway Projects

(Juneau) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is seeking public input on two proposed highway projects between Juneau and Waupun. The state is in the process of developing plans to resurfacing nearly 11-miles of Highway 26 from Highway 33 to just south of Milligan Road near the 151 interchange.

The project would also increase the paved shoulder width from three to five feet with the use of Highway Safety Improvement Program funding. Wisconsin and Southern Railroad would make improvements to the railroad crossings near Maple and Clay Streets. Construction is currently slated to begin in 2024.

The second project would resurface Highway 26 between County Road DF and Highway 33, as well as replace concrete pavement at the Center Street and DF intersections. Work is scheduled to begin in 2027 but could be moved up to 2024 depending on funding availability.

State transportation officials ask citizens to review the project details on their website and submit comments by the deadline on February 25th.
